Gallery Van Bau is an artspace that focuses on Norwegian and International contemporary art. One of the galleries main objectives is to give young, up - and - coming artist an opportunity to exhibit their art to a broader audience, as well as giving the audience an opportunity to experience a broad aspect of both Norwegian and International contemporary artistic development. The first show this year is "Whiteout violence / Censorship alliance", mainly with the process of photographies from areas of warconflicts, but also with an installation and a video by the Norwegian artist Thomas Kvam. The exhibition will be on display from 5th of May to 15th of July. The season closes with Gallery Van Bau's yearly academy exhibition, where we show works by students from The Royal Academy of Fine Art in Oslo. The exhibition will be on display from the 22th of July to the 7nd of October. Gallery Van Bau consists of 250 squaremeters and is located in the ground floor of Arena Vestfossen, next to Vestfossen Kunstlaboratorium.
